The institutional leadership structure dedicated to serving advanced practice providers across UVA Health.

APP leaders understand and embody the APP role, serve as liaisons to clinical leaders across departments and disciplines, and support the communication pipeline between front-line team members and institutional leadership. UVA CAP directors and managers set performance expectations and facilitate professional development through opportunity and connection.

APPs at UVA include Genetic Counselors (GC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Audiologists, Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants/Associates (PA), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA), and Certified Nurse Midwives, all dedicated to transforming health for our patients.
